Why voice?
You want to make an impact. You have more to say.
But your words aren’t resonating with your readers the way you know they could.
→ Imagine this: You learn one key creative writing skill and how to apply it in the real world and suddenly…
Your words resonate with readers and inspire real engagement.
Readers eagerly await your every post, book, article, etc.
You attract not just readers but superfans because they feel like you’re talking to them.
This 6-Week Voice Mastery Class is a transformative journey designed to help you unearth, refine, and amplify your unique voice and use it to stand out in the crowded digital media publishing landscape.

How is this different from Substack Writers at Work and the Cohort?
This class is run through The New MFA: Craft to Career program and is completely separate from Substack Writers at Work.
The New MFA courses teach you the craft of creative writing and how to use it in your Substack and beyond to become a working, income-earning writer.
It’s where I team up with (and pay) other exceptional writing teachers to bring you an MFA-caliber education that ultimately earns you money instead of putting you in debt.
Substack Writers at Work is the only expert guide to growing your Substack.
It’s where I teach you the publishing, marketing, sales, tech, and publicity skills you need to be a professional writer in the 21st century.
All paid subscribers to SW@W and my co-teacher’s Substack receive $100 off the price of every class for a limited time.
Is there anything we won’t discuss?
Yes. Writing on Medium, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. There’s enough to do and those aren’t our areas of expertise (by choice :).
Will we cover podcasting?
Marya’s voice coaching (which is amazing!) is best for that. We may touch on it, but it won’t be the focus. You can book here.
Voice Mastery: Transform Your Writing, Ignite Your Career offers more than techniques. It’s a space to connect, build confidence in your writing, and grow your writing and your career.
A secret: Most successful writers aren’t literary geniuses.
They’re people who’ve mastered their own distinct voice.
Join us. Develop your voice. Expand your career.
All our best,
Marya & Sarah
P.S. Resident New MFA cats Sweets and Baby Theo may make guest appearances.
Hello, this looks amazing but not great timing for me. Will you be doing it again and if so, when?
I would absolutely love to participate… it’s just outside the budget for right now. So please, keep me in mind if you repeat this awesome workshop.
