I'm still fairly new to this 'I'm a writer' thing and to Substack, so I'm still trying to figure things out. I'm trying to not letting the 'why don't I have more subscribers' thing bother me, but it can be a thorn in my side. I just focus on my writing and when I feel like I have something worth sharing, I'll post it.
I do enjoy the interaction I've had on Substack since joining. I'm liking Notes because it's introduced me to some great writers and people.

I'm a liker, but only if I read what I'm liking first. Many just like and never read the post. I don't understand that. I started writing on Substack in January when I retired. I try to be as active as possible on Notes, sharing, restacking, and cross-posting. Things are steadily progressing. I'm right at 99 subscribers as of yesterday and hope to hit the 100 marker this week. Learning so much from everyone and really like all the features and new things constantly being rolled out on Substack. And, you're so right about the apples analogy. That will help with the mindset moving forward. Thank you.
Thanks, Sarah. I’m a liker- after reading. I read on the app and delete the email w/o opening it (do they track app reading in analytics?). I like about four or five different apples, which, hmmmm, could explain other things. 😂 I do prefer to buy apples at the farmers market - which is the Substack of food shopping. Thanks for your encouragement.
I’m a liker too! I loved reading this and I definitely agree I have work to do but I’m also embracing a phase of my life where often just showing up IS the work and I will definitely admit to typos and errors in grammar. I’m working on it and I’m letting it go. ✨✍️🌻🙏
